The area also hosts many events and activities, including an annual Walking Festival, which has been taking place since 2009, as well as the Doncaster Weekender, an annual outdoor arts and music festival.

Furthermore, DN34 is also very close to the popular visitor attraction of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which houses some of the world's most endangered animals and is the largest of its kind in the UK. It is also near to the town of Thorne, which houses a marina and Nature Reserve.

DN34 is also known for its great sporting culture, with sports venues such as Doncaster Racecourse, Doncaster Rovers Football Club and Doncaster Belles, who play in the Women's Football Super League, offering plenty to watch and participate in. Additionally, a number of cycling and running paths, as well as a Marriot Health and Fitness Centre are also situated in DN34.
