This postcode contains local attractions, such as Tickhill Castle, and the 26-mile circular route of the Dearne Way which passes through historic towns and villages throughout the Doncaster area.

The landscape of the DN21 postcode is virtually flat, with rolling hills to the North around the Adwick Le-Street area. There is an abundance of green open spaces in the district, including parks like Skellow Park and Mexborough Golf Course, as well as other woodlands, nature reserves and ponds. DN21 has easy access to the nearby sports and leisure centres, such as Rossington Hall, Woodlands Watersports and the Doncaster Ice Arena.

Other local amenities include racecourses, such as Doncaster Racecourse and South Yorkshire Aero Club, and excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes. Nearby Silverwood Business Park and Doncaster Sheffield International Airport offer business and retail opportunities, whilst the nearby Lakeside Village offers a further array of shops. In addition to this, DN21 is served by two major railway lines, which link Doncaster and Leeds in the north and Grantham and London in the south.
