It is also a popular destination for watersports as it has a wide range of stretches of smooth water for activities such as fishing, sailing, canoing and kayaking.
The area is well served with transport, with access to good main roads and the M62 motorway, and also train stations in Goole and Howden - making commuting to Doncaster or Leeds easy.
