The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry

Santa, Ellie and Rudolph are back at the Belgrade Theatre this Christmas with Santa’s Dizzy Day, a fun packed festive show for children aged 2-6 which invites them to join in with an array of interactive songs and to get involved in the action. Poor Santa and Ellie are having a very dizzy day indeed and the workshop is in a dreadful muddle, so they are going to need the help of all the children in the audience if they are going to get all the presents delivered in time for Christmas morning.

Scratchy Beard in Concert

Sunday, Sunday, May 24, 2020
Bulkington Community & Conference Centre, Bulkington

What happensif you take the intoxicating swing and feel of gypsey jazz, add storytelling songs inspired by English and Celtic folk, and throw in a pinch of bluesy roots & rythm? Gypsy-jazzy-rootsy-folk, of course! Experienced performers, Scratchy Beard are an up-beat and enjoyable live quartet offering something a little different: very accessible roots/alt-folk/gypsy jazz music with an earcatching line up of guitar, cello, drums & clarinet with, at times, three-part and four-part harmonies along with a reed organ, tin whistles, melodica & bottle-top slide guitar. They often reveal the engaging stories behind the songs they perform, which assists in creating a good connection with audiences.
