The postcode has strong access to the major road networks, sitting close to the A12 and A120 highways. It also connects to the major airports of Stansted and London City.

CO1 also has a strong reputation for being a great place to live: property prices are considered higher than average compared to the rest of Essex, but there is still a good selection of flats and houses for rent and for sale. Additionally, there are comprehensive education and health services in the area, as well as a range of local facilities and businesses.
