Near the driveway to St. Clouds, the area next to a manhole cover has opened up. This is a hole approx 60cms x 30cms x 15cms deep. The edges are sharp and would cause terrible damage to any road users wheeled vehicle, apart from a collision with another vehicle whilst trying to avoid this hazard. It would be impossible to see this in the dark. This really does require immediate repair.

No warning signs of S- bend., 17th January
This S-bend where indicated on the map is frequently liable to flooding and when travelling from either direction, there are no road signs warning of the bends or the possibility of flooding. There is a drain or maybe two, which must need clearing. In fact this road linking Matching Green to Ardley End can boast numerous hazards to all road users. Eg…potholes and further un marked bends. These adverse conditions have been prevalent for years.

A large pothole has opened up in Faggotters Lane, Carters Green near Matching Tye. It is about 100 metres north of the entrance to Whites Farm. Please repair it as soon as possible as it poses a significant danger to cyclists and other road users.

Fly tipping, 27th March
Large amount of household rubbish dumped where the phone mast is on the way from Sheering to lower Sheering on the Harlow Road! Also very dangerous pot hole on the bend at the junction to Lower Sheering.

Just before the right hand turning to Kingstons Farm, there are several potholes on the nearside. It appears that the verge has been run on by heavy vehicles, revealing the road edge.

Road collapsed along verge., 6th February
This area is particularly dangerous, where the road and verge meet. The damage has resulted in a deep and long section of the road which would affect all road users if unaware of the hazard, particularly at night. I’m surprised it’s not already been reported.

Very deep and wide pothole., 3rd November
This pothole is hidden on the exit of a left hand bend. It protrudes into the carriageway a long way and is very deep. Please add this to the list when the one I already reported on the next bend is repaired. If I remember correctly, in this close vicinity there is a further pothole on the opposite side of the road.

Exceptionally large and dangerous pothole., 3rd November
This is a monster pothole on a bend and I find it impossible to understand why this has not been repaired, particularly as there is evidence of pothole repairs at High Laver Grange and Matching Green and it’s highly likely the workforce must have driven past this and several more. An accident waiting to happen.

Lots of broken pieces of old pavement and road, 18th April
This road hasn’t been done in over 15 years. There’s broken pieces of old tarmac and needs a revamp. We pay high council tax and have no lighting down the road so would appreciate this being reviewed

Faulty Temp. Traffic lights, 1st November
These light are showing red coming from Matching Green village green - other direction shows red on one side of the road & green on the other (have only seen them at weekends, so may be different in the week). They have been like this for several weekends and are causing much confusion

6 year plus tempororay drain cover needs fixinf asap, 10th January
You have pictures already, I have also shown a highways man the issue on 2 occasions for no one to take ownership of the issue. cover keeps being dragged by vans mounting the pavement, this is a health and safety issue on my last call to your department it wasn't urgent , this repair has been outstanding for more then 6 years - when does a repair become urgent??

The pipe under the road is fractured and has been for a few years. The water cannot escape from the ditch on the village green due to the fractured pipe. It floods the road. The road is flooded right now.
