In terms of transportation, CT11 is served by regular buses running between Thanet, Canterbury and London. There are also several local services that enable residents to reach surrounding areas. A number of trains call at stations in the area, including Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs and Canterbury West.

The CT11 postcode area boasts some stunning natural beauty, ranging from picturesque sandy beaches in Westgate-on-Sea to acres of open green spaces in Birchington, along with several parks and nature reserves. The South Foreland Lighthouse, Kingsgate Castle and Botany Bay can all be found within the CT11 area.

When it comes to commercial activities, the area is a hot spot for tourists thanks to its proximity to the UK's seaside resorts. The neighbouring port of Ramsgate is also popular with pleasure and commercial boats, and the area contains a number of historical landmarks and attractions.

CT11 is also home to several shopping and leisure amenities, most of which are concentrated in Ramsgate, Margate, Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington. There are numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars in the area, and the Canterbury Shopping Centre is a popular spot for shoppers. Finally, the area has a selection of golf courses, and those interested in horse racing can visit the Race Course in Ramsgate.
