Thu, 28 Mar 2024 12:45:28 +0000
51.446976 -2.608853

There has been a new sign erected at the end of Hanover Rd showing directions to the SS Great Britain. The sign should be on the next road down (Gasferry Road). It is sending lots of cars and coaches down the wrong road, they then have to do a U turn to get back out in order to take the next correct turning to access the SS Great Britain. This is happening multiple times a day.

Active Badger sett that council contractors are removing vegetation from, 28th March

Thu, 28 Mar 2024 09:23:47 +0000
51.452103 -2.609993

Disturbing active badger setts is an offence under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992, and there is currently an active sett underneath vegetation in the garden of Brandon house. Residents are concerned and the promise of the results of a ecological survey was not shared with residents as promised. NGO's are being liaised with, but residents would like confirmation that no further de-veg works will occur in the area, and the area will be cordoned off to protect it from disturbance by children who are currently trampling the sett entrances. Housing Officer responsible for this area is Faith Kirkwood. Residents request a confirmation that works will cease and the proposed ditch will not be created over the sett, as this would be an offence if not formally mitigated.

No entry signs - unsuitable or ignored, 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 14:09:16 +0000
51.451729 -2.592728

The entrance to Welsh Back at the corner of Little King's Street has one No Entry sign that is not suitable to advise traffic. Cars and vans regularly travel the wrong way up this part of Welsh Back (which is a One Way Street) and it cause issues with traffic or they narrowly miss causing accidents. I see this has been raised on numerous occasions here but nothing has been done. Photos shows the current signage which is gradually being covered by stickers. Cyclists also go down this street and I have seen lots of near misses here too as cyclists think it doesn't apply to them or are ignorant.
