BS30 is a postcode district in the Bristol region of England within the BS postcode area. It is mainly composed of two post towns; Yate and Chipping Sodbury. These two towns are located in South Gloucestershire in the south west of the region and sit adjacent to the Bristol City boundary.
BS30 is primarily a commuter belt area, the romantic Cotswolds, but it also has an extensive collection of shops, local businesses and restaurants. The region benefits from excellent transport links being accessible from motorways, the M4 and M5 as well as close proximity to Bristol city centre. Yate also has its own railway station which connects with other mainline stations nearby, including Bristol Parkway.
Yate and Chipping Sodbury provide a unique residential experience, ideal for those wanting a quieter lifestyle while still having access to all the amenities of urban living. Yate, which is the largest of the two towns within the BS30 postcode, is the centre of the region and has a strong shopping centre, along with a modern leisure complex, which includes a bowling alley, cinema, a ski slope and large selection of restaurants to choose from. Chipping Sodbury is renowned for being a historic market town and includes a selection of boutique shops, as well as pubs and the Hawksbury Country Park walking trails.
BS30 has a vibrant community and is home to numerous schools with each school rated highly by Ofsted. There are also numerous local clubs and societies ranging from the Yate and District Model Railway Club to the Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club. In addition, the region is the host of the yearly Yate Rocks Beer and Music Festival in summer, with it's large selection of craft ales, ciders and live music acts.
BS30 offers a unique blend of countryside and urban living, with its two post towns providing a wealth of amenities and leisure activities for locals and visitors alike, as well as good transport links to the rest of the city and beyond.
