The drains are blocked on both northbound and southbound carriageways of the M66 between junctions 1 and 4 which regularly causes major water flows across the carriageways during wet weather. This is causing a serious risk of aquaplaning vehicles.

Blocked drain, 1st April

Mon, 01 Apr 2024 20:50:21 +0100
53.589415 -2.272835

The drains along the central reservation are blocked on the northbound M66, particularly around junction 2 just before you head up the hill.
