Obstruction on Ettington Road outside 48 and 44, 21st May

Tue, 21 May 2024 22:14:56 +0100
52.50466 -1.889818

Obstruction on Ettington Road that has been causing significant inconvenience and danger to residents and the general public. Specifically, abandoned road work bollards have been left between 48 Ettington Road and 44 Ettington Road for several weeks, and no action has been taken to remove them. These bollards are obstructing the highway, making it difficult for residents to park their vehicles and navigate the road safely. The situation is particularly concerning as it presents a hazard to both drivers and pedestrians. Just recently, I witnessed a member of the public nearly run over the bollards with their vehicle, highlighting the potential for accidents and injury. I urge you to take immediate action to have these bollards removed to restore safe and unobstructed access to the road. The prompt resolution of this matter is essential to ensure the safety and convenience of all road users in the area.

Loads of fly tipped rubbish and garden cuttings dumped, 19th May

Sun, 19 May 2024 11:11:01 +0100
52.506502 -1.922236

Crick lane handsworth wood b20 2rj been a problem for years weekly there is fly tipped rubbish and the past month it has been at its worst. Rubbish piling up, appears to be tree cuttings/bushes etc just dumped near enough in the middle of the road. Smashed glass on the floor itís getting beyond a joke. Cctv needs to be put up to catch these fly tippers, this road is used regularly by parents collecting children from nearby schools and traffic build up is crazy due to all the fly tipped obstacles in the way. Both sides of the road also need properly cleaning as there is rubbish from the fly tipped mess just getting blown around which is attracting rats. I have seen the council truck/van with the brushes come up the road recently and actually just drive down fast without picking/sweeping any rubbish into his truck and only done one side of the road when both sides are filthy and not even going close to edge to even remove the dirt which is totally unacceptable wasting council resources. All neighbours are sick and tired of the road looking like a joke with countless requests for cctv to catch them in the act. Hope someone can fix this issue because how the road is right now itís simply unacceptable Thanks
