Hall Green Train Station is located further south, off Stratford Road, and offers services to Birmingham Moor Street, Solihull, Coventry and London Marylebone. Finally, Acocks Green train station is found in the centre of B28, near the junction of Yardley Wood Road and Church Road. It provides direct services to Birmingham Snow Hill, Redditch and London Marylebone.

The B28 postcode district has a diverse range of shops and restaurants. Yardley Wood Road offers restaurants, pubs and takeaways, whilst Hall Green High Street and Moseley shopping centres are home to a plethora of shops and places of interest. The area is also blessed with a plethora of green spaces, such as Bournville Park, Moseley Boathouse Park, Yardley Wood Nature Reserve and Hawkesley Playing Fields.

In terms of education, B28 postcode district has a wide range of options. There are numerous primary schools, including Moseley C of E Primary, Kings Norton Primary and Fox Hollies Primary, as well as a selection of secondary schools, such as Yardley Wood Technology College and Kings Norton Girls' School.

A range of cultural and sporting activities are also on offer in the B28 postcode area. Local sports clubs, such as Yorkshire Phoenix Community Football Club, Moseley Sharks Rugby Football Club and Hall Green United Football Club, centre their activities around this postcode, as do theatres, galleries and other performing arts venues.
