The area is also home to a number of nature reserves including the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greenham Common, The Berkshire Downs, and Uphill Quarry Nature Reserve. Uphill Quarry is particularly noteworthy as it has a range of rare butterflies that only occur in the surrounding area.

The area is also within commuting distance of Bristol and Bath, so many people living in this area commute to one of those cities for work. Bath is particularly well connected via A39 road links and a train service from Westfield.

The postcode has a range of local amenities, including restaurants, pubs, green spaces, a range of shops, and leisure facilities such as a cinema. It also features some traditional architecture, as seen in the town of Midsomer Norton and its red brick buildings.

This is an ideal place to live for those who are looking for a quiet and attractive village life close to larger towns or cities. There is much to explore in the area, including Midsomer Norton Castle, Shockerwick Woods, and the Blaise Castle Estate, as well as some of the most beautiful towns in Somerset.
