Iced pavements and road - like an ice rink now and lethal., 15th December
All footpaths and pavements and in fact the road as well are lethal with ice at present as is a lot of the village. It has been almost 2 weeks since the first bad weather set in and I would have expected some action by now since the main roads are clear. The partial thaw and then freeze last night night has further exacerbated the problem and has left the road and pavements like an ice rink. In fact, my neighbours daughter was able to put her skates on 2 nights ago and skated in the road! The old people and the children going to school have been slipping all over the place and it is only a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already) that someone is seriously hurt. Please can something bee done urgently in our village.

Removal of Dog Waste Bin on Main Street opposite Merlin Terrace, 6th June
During the recent up-grading of Street Furniture on Main Street the work force involved removed the Dog Waste Bin which I'm guessing was obstructing the work. Unfortunately they omitted to replace it . Perhaps they couldn't find anywhere to put it amidst all the rubbish they left on the bank!! Could the community please have this "well used " dog waste bin replaced. Thank you

Lots of dog owners on mobiles instead of watching dog, 14th November
Dog owners are allowing their pets to foul along the roadside, in the hotel grounds, play park and car park. the walk to the beach is a complete disgrace. quite often you find dog litter bags hanging on bushes and fences. there is a severe lack of bins and areas to dispose of dog litter bags... it is a complete health hazard.

There is an increasing problem caused by an overgrown garden belonging to an unoccupied house, 5th July
The garden of 20 Merlin Terrace Newburgh is in danger of taking over the footpath on the junction of Eider Road. This is a direct result of the house being unoccupied for two years and no garden maintenance being carried out. It is considered to be too big a task for a local resident to carry out and it would be impossible to return the debris over the fence.
Can the Council please help with this task?

The pothole is quite deep and is unmissable if there is a car coming towards you on the other side of the road . Just noticed it this morning, my husband called me to warn me about it but when I came to it there was a car coming the opposite way so I couldn't miss it.

Could possibly be blocked drains caused by leaves ., 30th October
Saturday 23rd October there appeared to be flooding after rain on the junction of School Road and main street. This could possibly be caused by drains blocked by excessive amounts of leaves but it did cause a serious problem for early commuters.
