FIXMYSTREET IN AB39 3RA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of AB39 3RA:
80cm x 25cm x 15cm pothole next to signpost, 21st April
This pothole follows a road seam which is viewable in Google Streetmap, perhaps there's been some sinking in the road? The pothole was large enough for my front tyre (225mm wide) to drop into and initially I thought I may have cracked the rim. Please fix before someone loses control of their vehicle, its certainly large enough to take someone off their bicycle, motorcycle, or possibly damage a car's suspension/wheel.

Deep 16"/18" pothole, 12th December
Deep 16"/18" pothole - and becoming larger by the day. Very dangerous location, as a bend in the road at location means you have to drive on to other side of carriageway when heading west, where there is no visibility of oncoming traffic. Pothole has been full of rain water, so motorists unaware will easily be caught out on the depth/danger to tyres.

Extremely bad road surface - worsening by the day, 7th October
This road surface at the junction of the Netherley road and Denside of Durris Road is now in an appalling condition. Totally unacceptable as the poor surface is causing some drivers of vehicles using the B979 to cross on to the other carriageway. The junction turning out of the Denside of Durris Road is being made very tricky. This all needs priority/urgent attention, as it is a school bus route, as well as a commuter route, and is used by heave farm and contruction traffic too.

Potholes at side of carriageway, 6th September
There are potholes at the side of the carriageway which force motorist further over than their own side of the road here, and this is on a slight bend where you cannot see what is coming from the other direction.

Very deep pothole at side of carriageway., 24th April
There is a very large deep pothole at the side of the carriageway. This is not always obvious in advance, due to shadows/it being filled with rain water. This is at a section of road where drivers often need to pull right into the edge of carriageway when large agricultural vehicles are approaching from the other direction. This is a very dangerous pothole and must be priority for repair.

Damage to sign, 22nd September
While out walking I noticed that the road sign informing of a cycleway and warning of horses, had been knocked over, possibly by a vehicle. This is on the road between Burnhead and Mains of Cookney, on the left side as you travel up the hill. There is slight damage to the boundary dry stone wall of the field too but I shall notify the owner of that wall.

Extremely poor visibility due to growth of foliage as you approach the bridge, 31st August
There is extremely poor visibility as you approach the bridge right now. This is due to foliage height all around there. There are spots where you cannot see oncoming vehicles coming on to the bridge. You would not see a sports car, motorbike, and now even a small car. This is very dangerous, as many motorists speed on to the bridge. This is the route to a sizeable school, is the school bus route for that primary and two academies/parent's route, and is also a very busy commuter route, so used a great deal. Very dangerous at the moment.

Dangerous pothole on b979 just where you turn out of denside of durris road, 29th July
Dangerous pothole on the B979 just where vehicles turn out from Denside of Durris Road. This is causing drivers to briefly be on the wrong side of the road to avoid going through the pothole. That is dangerous with, especially with the drivers turning out of the nearby Lairhillock junction.
