Two large potholes, 19th September
There are two potholes outside my house at the roadside which grow bigger every few months. I have reported these previously to Aberdeenshire Council at least twice in the last 24 months. About 18 months ago I was assured they would be fixed and we even got some yellow markings on the road that looked promising for repairs some months ago. Alas nothing was fixed and the arrows and markings are now faded away with time and weather. Please, please, please could these potholes be seen to as they really are becoming dangerous, especially for bike users who use the C12K a lot.

Sewage smell in ditch, 25th August
There has been an issue over the last 12 Mo this with a road ditch accumulating what I thought was stagnant water. However, more recently this has developed into a foul brown sludge that smells of sewage. This is located in a ditch drain between the properties of Hillbiew and Edenvale. The ditch drain is on the verge of the C12K road and is evident to people and animals as they pass. Can I ask that this be checked by the appropriate department. The occupants of Hillbiw (Mrs Lygate) has also reported this to the council a while ago. Please can someone update me and Mrs Lygate once the matter is investigated.

Collapsed portion of roadway / potholes, 27th March
I have already reported these damaged areas of the C12K outside our home. The problem has worsened over the winter and several portions of the road edge are collapsed and potholes along our row of houses between The houses of Hullview and the stealing’s at Lakhipara & Wyndrum End. The area was inspected earlier in 2022 by the Council and yellow markings put down to identify the area for repairs and I was assured it would be attended to. Sadly no repairs have taken place and the yellow markers have faded away over time. I appreciate that road repairs teams are very busy but I would appreciate some feedback as to when our repairs can be expected please.

Potholes along side of road, 8th May
There are a series of potholes which have developed along the C12k on the road verges. The worst ones are located between the houses of Hillview and Lakhipara steading. The occupants have tried filling them with clippings before but they just erode away and ideally need properly repaired with tarmac

Potholes 6” deep the full width of the road, 21st October
These potholes have been here for months. They are the full width of the road. I have now damaged the rim of my wheel by misjudgment of where the potholes are in the rain despite driving very slowly. This is the third time I’ve reported them.

Series of potholes, 25th May
The road surface at this point has had a series of potholes worsening here for nearly 2 years now, which are getting deeper and more dangerous month by month. There are in fact so many potholes splayed across the surface over a significant area here that you cannot avoid them at all, and are especially difficult to navigate in wet conditions as they fill up with water and can’t be seen. Please, please, please can these be repaired properly. They have been reported several times to the council by myself (and other residents too I’m sure)

Recurrent potholes, 8th April
The recurrent potholes at this location are returning. I have had to slalom round them as best I can to try to avoid the worst of them. I have also seen other drivers doing the same. These potholes are getting worse and have been for weeks. They need urgent repair before an accident happens or someone breaks a car spring.

Potholes on C12K, 15th March
A series of potholes have worsened again on C12K road to the east side of AWPR overpass. These have been temporarily filled in the past previously but are again needing attention as some are merging together into larger potholes. I counted around 30 potholes here of various depths.

Multiple huge holes in the road, verging on impassable and likely to cause a lot of damage to vehicles., 15th December
Extremely large potholes, increasing in size daily. The area is almost impassable as a result. Anyone driving more than 10 mph over these is likely to cause a massive amount of damage to their vehicles.

Road disintegrated, 30th November
The road has multiple potholes here, so many that it’s impossible to drive that section without hitting at least one of them. The potholes are now deep enough to be causing damage tyres. I last reported this problem in October, and twice before that, but it’s not been fixed at all. Please sort soon before someone’s car is badly damaged.
