Huge deep crater gaping holes big enough to swallow a car gouged out of tarmac & verges needs urgent signage & safety barriers to steer motorists to avoid as they are invisible until only a few yards distance., 22nd February
Huge deep crater gaping holes big enough to swallow a car have been gouged out of the tarmac road surface at the edge of the road with total loss of the verge bank margin to the road caused by trees ripped out at their masssive roots by storm forces. There are 3 of these dangerous craters along this stretch of road where trees torn out. For immediate safety needs hi-vis warning tapes and cones at these sites as the holes are invisible at distance, only seen when just a few yards towards them . AlthoughTemporary 'Single file traffic' alert signs have been sited these are several hundreds of yards distant & in front of a blind bend to far away from the craters with no signage indication of the actual hazard sites which are invisible until within a few yards of them. Needs tapes and barriers at the actual crater sites. so that motorists cyclist and tractor drivers can see exactly where they need to adopot single file and use only the oipposite side of the carriageway. This is urgent, a car driver could be killed if their vehicle plunges off tarmac into one of these carters. The tarmac road suface of one crater is breaking up so the hole is spreadin

Fettercairn Roundabout (B974 B966 B9120 Distillery Road), 7th February
Some road users are turning sharp right from B974 onto Distillery Road and cutting out the roundabout. Usually large vehicles doing this as New road bollard on B966 (see annotation in orange) is making the right turn difficult. However, I have seen smaller vehicles do this too. Neighbours have had near misses on occasions.

At various points along the length of B966 road between Blabegno Castle and Cairnton of Balbegno a series of potholes in the roadway has re-opened deep and dangerous.
