The postcode has three train stations: Longport, Stoke-on-Trent and Kidsgrove, which provide direct services to major UK cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, and London. In addition, there are several bus routes that run through the region and provide access to neighbouring towns and villages.
The district also contains a range of leisure facilities, including parks, golf courses, walks and open spaces. Trentham Gardens is situated close to the centre of ST18, offering acres of formal gardens, historic lake, a range of cafes and restaurants and outdoor activities, including boating and adventure golf.
