The postcode district is bordered to the north by the A55, to the east by the estuary of the River Conwy, to the south by the Regent's Park Nature Reserve, and to the west by the Wirral national nature reserve.

Within the LL17 postcode district there are a number of historical sites, including a collection of medieval churches and chapels, a lighthouse, and numerous fortifications.
