Highclere Castle is one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles set amidst spectacular parkland near Newbury, Berkshire. The Castle itself stands on the site of an earlier house that, in turn, was built on the foundations of the medieval palace of the Bishops of Winchester who owned this estate from the 8th century.

This 13th century stone large monastic barn has a stone-tiled roof and interesting timber structure. The Great Barn in Great Coxwell village is the sole surviving part of a thriving 13th Century grange that once provided vital income to Beaulieu Abbey.
