The area is home to a number of attractions, including the World of Wheel, the Galazan Quarry Nature Reserve and Ashton Memorial. PR3 is well served by buses and has good access to the motorway network, with both the M6 and M55 motorways nearby. It is also home to a number of schools, including Garstang Community Primary School, Garstang Academy and Catterall Primary School. Leisure opportunities in the area include a range of pubs and restaurants, as well as two nearby nature reserves, Warton Crag Nature Reserve and Boar Cop Nature Reserve.
