Its strong multicultural identity has seen some of the first eateries of different backgrounds settle there, along with creative community spaces and galleries such as the Tropical House, and Granby Four Streets.
Dingle is one of the oldest districts of the city, and its streets are lined with red-brick Victorian terraces that contrast with the more modern high-rise buildings beside them. As well as being a popular home for peaceable residents, Dingle is home to the Philharmonic pub and some of the oldest pubs in the city. The area is also home to several historic listed buildings, including the Victoria Monument and Cliffs, as well as Victorian terraces like Dale Street.
Mossley Hill is known for its quiet suburban residential streets, parks, and green spaces, and is famed for its parks, including the well-loved Sefton Park. The area is also home to a great selection of pubs, restaurants, and a bustling shopping area with an assortment of denim boutiques, independent local stores, and a variety of cafes.
In recent years the area around the postcode has seen significant regeneration, with the 2006 Liverpool Writing Competition the first major project. The area is now a bustling hub rich in art, culture, and entertainment for all ages, offering something for everyone from the L2 postcode.
