Education in PL15 is provided by community primary schools, a Secondary School, Post-16 Education, and for adult further education, there are centres offered in Plymouth and Liskeard that are accessible by public transport.
The area is a Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts with fishing, surfing, walking, cycling and horse riding abundant. There are also many historic landmarks available to explore, such as Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, with its rare trees and gateway to the Scilly Isles, and the impressive stretch of the Tamar Estuary up to Gunnislake.
Despite being a mainly rural area, PL15 benefits from two modern health care centres providing general practitioner services and rural outreach services. The area also benefits from a range of other services such as job clubs, meals on wheels, and community transport.
In terms of transport, PL15 is serviced by regular bus and train services running between Plymouth, Seaton and Gunnislake, as well as to Liskeard, and a dedicated car share scheme operating within the postcode.
