It is located in the picturesque Torridge valley. Baxter's fish stall has been a local landmark for over 70 years, providing fresh fish from the harbour a few miles away in Bude.

The EX22 postcode area consists of 230sq miles of countryside and stretches from the market town of Holsworthy up to the edge of Exmoor National Park. The 18th Century Holsworthy Castle is set in the beautiful grounds of Holsworthy Park. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is typical of the fortified manor houses of Devon. The adjoining grounds can be explored and it has a large pond and woodlands.

There are many great places to eat and drink in the town. The award-winning Cantina does Mexican street food, whilst the George & Dragon is a traditional English pub serving locally sourced food. The Phoenix Cinema takes up residence in the Market Square for two days of the week, while Holsworthy Theatre hosts productions throughout the year.

Holsworthy has an excellent range of shops. It has a traditional high street with various boutiques and shops run by local people. The town is home to two weekly markets, the Holsworthy Market offering a range of goods every Thursday morning - this is a must see for visitors. There is also a farmers' market every Saturday.

People in Holsworthy enjoy a good school system, with two primary schools, one pre-school, and The Park Community School; the only secondary school in the EX22 postcode area.

Holsworthy also offers a range of leisure activities for all ages, including a leisure center and swimming pool, as well as numerous youth clubs. Along with a variety of green spaces, there is also the Holsworthy Pannier Market, which hosts festivals and events throughout the year.

The EX22 postcode area is served by excellent transport links to the surrounding towns and cities. The town is well connected and there are regular bus services to larger towns and cities, with the nearest main line station at Exeter.
