The DN38 postcode also covers parts of the Yorkshire and Humber and East Midlands regions, as well as the Immingham ward and the Stallingborough ward. It is bordered on one side by DN15 (Scunthorpe postcode district) and on the other by DN37 (Barton-upon-Humber).

It also has a number of commuter villages, including Habrough, Amcotts, Ulceby, Belton, and Stallingborough, with regular bus routes heading in and out of Immingham.

The DN38 postcode also falls within North and North East Lincolnshire local authority, so is eligible for certain grants and funding opportunities. Businesses in the area are generally thriving as a result of accessible transport links and local incentives.

In terms of leisure, DN38 postcode offers a wide selection of amenities to enjoy. These include two industrial-sized golf-courses, a leisure centre, nature reserves, and a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, and bars. Additionally, the region is home to a number of festivals and events throughout the year, such as the Immingham Carnival and the twice-annual Stallingborough Duck Race.
