Longbridge Town Centre is another popular area as it is home to various well-known retailers, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.

The area is well-connected, offering access to a variety of local bus routes, as well as Birmingham's New Street station and a number of other rail links. There are also plenty of green spaces in the area, such as Arrow Valley Lake Country Park and Barberry Grove Regional Park, and several golf clubs.

In terms of schooling for those living in the B38 postcode, there are a number of nurseries and primary schools, as well as a number of comprehensive and higher education institutions, such as South Birmingham College and the University of Birmingham. As the area is predominantly residential, there is a limited selection of shops and services, but there is a post office and a library at The Glentyne in Longbridge.

The area also has a number of parks, lakes and other leisure amenities, such as a leisure centre and several football pitches. In terms of crime, the B38 postcode has a fairly average crime rate compared to other Birmingham postcodes.
