Major roads in the district include Holloway Circus, Belgrave Middleway, Moor Street, and Smallbrook Queensway. The postal district also includes popular tourist attractions such as the Custard Factory and St. Martin's Church in Bullring and commercial estates such as The Mailbox, The Priory Queensway, and The Cube.
The area is home to several universities, such as The University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University and Aston University. It is also host to a number of parks and recreation spaces, such as Centenary Square, St. Phillip's Cathedral, and Aston Hall.
The area also includes a number of retail and entertainment venues such as the Bullring Shopping Centre, the Mailbox Shopping Centre, the Arcadian Centre and the Hippodrome Theatre, as well as several major hotels, hostels and serviced apartments. According to the 2011 census, the district had a population of roughly 8,000 people.
The B3 postcode district has excellent transportation links, with numerous bus services, as well as a number of tram lines and two train stations (New Street Station and Moor Street Station).
The postcode also has a wide selection of luxury shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs, making it a popular destination for shopping, dining, drinking and entertainment.
