Large boulders on verge, 23rd December
Residents in the houses on the opposite side of the verge have installed large boulders to stop cars being able to pass on the verge. These stones are going to cause significant damage to vehicles using this road, especially in the upcoming inclement weather that occurs at this time of year. These boulders should not be on the verge given that the verge is owned by Transport Scotland and it out with the curtilage of the barn yard properties. The occupiers may not like vehicles using this area but it is a necessity in on country roads to be able to pass on these grass areas.

Flooded path/cycleway, 14th December
There is a large semi-permanent (at least at this time of the year) puddle in the shared footpath/cyclepath between Westhill and Kirkton of Skene that often extends to the road.
Pedestrians, including children and dog walkers (who are often not under control) climb over the wall and onto the busy, unlit, narrow, national speed limit road to circumnavigate this puddle and the quagmire either side of it.
In addition, despite their repeated demands for segregated cycle paths, it is more usual to see cyclist using the busy, unlit, narrow, national speed limit road in preference to the cyclepath. The puddle deters even more cyclists to use the road instead of the designated cyclepath.
This obviously very dangerous situation for walkers (and uncontrolled dogs and children), cyclist and motorists alike.

The grass on both sides of the road is very high and making it very difficult to negotiate the corners. I have concerns that cars will collide on these corners and/or cyclists will not be seen

Car bumper in the ditch, 9th April
It can be seen on the left-hand side of the picture.
I've taken a picture of the bend of the road, to locate it easier. That view would be if you were coming from Dunecht, going towards Westhill.
It's been lying there for months.
I'd be happy to take it to the local HWRC myself but I was unsure if the person might class that as 'commerical waste', or something.

Unavoidable Pothole, 6th February
On the outside of the bend, travelling in the direction of Dunecht, there is a pot hole directly in the path of offside wheels. It is a corner with a slip resistant surface but the hole is deeper than simply a chip in the surface. Until today I was unaware of the hole and fear that it will only grow, making the danger of loss of traction exiting a bend, more severe than already noticed today.

Public road marked as private, 31st October
The entrance to this road is marked as private. This is despite the fact that Ordnance Survey maps show that a public road exists there.
Clearly, if this road is public, the private sign should be taken down. Doing so would certainly allow this quiet country road to be used by cyclists to commute more safely.
