Pretty sure there’s more bodies in there than in rubislaw quarry. Well used road by tourists, not a great impression of your stewardship of our Shire. You can fix the damage up by the old rectory and down at the old school house whilst you’re here please!

Deep washout at inner edge of bend of road, 2nd November

Thu, 02 Nov 2023 13:59:11 +0000
56.906511 -2.444484

Recent heavy rain has washed out a deep gully on the edge of the road. If two vehicles met on the bend, there would be a risk of damage to the one on the inside of the bend. Also road drainage along this section is poor.

Dog fouling getting worse as darkness falling earlier., 26th September

Tue, 26 Sep 2023 19:22:17 +0100
56.900894 -2.448091

The flag on the map is really the central point of the problem. All streets in this area and across the village are seeing an increase in fog fouling as winter approaches. It is simply not acceptable that dog owners or walkers use darkness as an excuse for not picking up after their dog. As in a village location dogs should be on a lead or closely monitored. This has been a long term issue in Auchenblae.

Flooding, 11th September

Mon, 11 Sep 2023 18:12:01 +0100
56.898615 -2.448995

The flooding has happened, and is becoming more frequent since the bridge at Kintore Street was repaired. It appears that the drains can no longer empty into the burn as bridge is well sealed. Pavement above the bridge is continuing to deteriorate and water can be seen coming up from below the pavement and causing flooding at the bottom of the road. There is an issue on the other side if the road where the drain over has lifted due to water pressure.

Thu, 20 Jul 2023 17:44:05 +0100
56.898682 -2.448954

The bridge under the road was repaired earlier this year and probably has little to do with this. The dropped kerb at a neighbouring property is failing and recent rain has caused damage to pavement surface with several holes appearing.

Large trees require pruning., 26th June

Mon, 26 Jun 2023 14:40:38 +0100
56.900087 -2.450708

Trees on High Street require pruning. It is our understanding that the Council has responsibility for pruning these trees every 3 years but this has not happened for at least 4 years. Subsequently, one tree in particular is now covering the top of a telephone pole (ref: 0IA) which has telephone wires to at least 5 houses emerging from it.
