Flood damage on Causeywell Brae, 6th August
On road from Castleton of Mondynes to Auchenblae at Causeywell Brae, a disaster area withsevere erosion at east side and across the whole width of the road which looks like the bed of a burn. Most impressive damage recorded so far! Further erosion beyond this near left bend and less seveere erosions in the hollow 300m before the access road to Burnhead..

On road from Castleton Shop/cafe to Auchenblae, 4 small potholes at the junction with the B966, further pothole 2x1 sq ft and 5 2 deep 200m beyond access road to Castleton farm, followed by 3 smaller ones on existing patches; on RHS before Cushnie access road 2 potholes 2x1 squ. ft. & 3" deep.
