The gas or water tap cover on the footpath is missing and has been for sometime as there is a lot of rubbish in the hole. This is just outside no. 14. Would be good to get this fixed before the dark night set in and someone hurts themselves walking on it.

Water running down the street and it's not raining, 15th September

Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:34:12 +0100

There is water running down the street and it is coming from a small fountain that has appeared through the lock block of no. 47's driveway. The water is snaking its way from the further end on the garden/driveway out on to the street, across the road then running a good way until it goes down the storm drain.

Pavements blocked every evening by cars, 27th August

Thu, 27 Aug 2015 10:21:22 +0100

Inconsiderate people blocking pavements/verges with cars making children and the partial sighted having to walk onto roads. Its not that these people have no parking space on their own property it is that they cannot be bothered to shuffle them around when they want to leave/return.People see next door do it and copy thinking it must be okay.It needs to stop before a child is killed.

Poor surface / Bad practice, 12th June

Thu, 12 Jun 2014 14:22:01 +0100

The Local authority has resurfaced this road ( with a thin layer of tar and stones) weeks ago but have not cleared the road of “loose chips” This poor practice is exposing the motorist to the high risk of stone damage. The road should be immediately swept to mitigate this risk.

Litter problem - Burnside Park, Blackburn, 4th June

Tue, 04 Jun 2013 10:13:23 +0100

I have already reported this to 'Wasteline' but have little confidence in Aberdeenshire Council to respond timeously. I saw, last Tuesday , after picking up various pieces of litter in this park, that the ONLY litter bin in this park was full to overflowing. I was away from home for several days and returned to the park on Monday 3 June and, again after picking up several items of litter, found the only bin even more overflowing. I then made my report to Wasteline and 24 hours later after picking up 3 store-type carrier bags (found littering the park) was forced to leave these 3 bags , full of collected litter, by the over-flowing bin. I could have carried one of them to the next nearest bin but due to a knee injury , had to settle for second best and hope that the council respond to my complaint soon.

Street light not working for over 3 weeks., 10th January

Thu, 10 Jan 2013 16:29:24 +0000

A street lamp labeled number 15 on Tradlin Circle in Blackburn has been out for a number of weeks now. I appreciate that it's been over the festive season, however the street and nearby properties around the lamp are very dark so for security reasons the sooner it can be repaired the better!

Speeding vehicles, 12th May

Wed, 12 May 2010 09:20:05 +0100

Vehicles on the fintry road heading into blackburn do not slow down until well in Blackburn, especially in the morning when children are standing at the bus stop. often see speeds in excess of 60mph in a 30mph, would benefit from a flashing 30 mph sign or speed hump heading in and out of Blackburn, only a matter of time before some one gets hurt, have seen police stand at top of hill for speeders but need to go further down the road to catch them.

Need Dog Litter Bins On Brockwood Park Estate, 6th April

Mon, 06 Apr 2009 20:02:17 +0100

There is no where other than the litter bins in the children's play area for dog walkers to place bags of dog mess this is unhygienic. The council needs to emplace a couple of dog litter bins on this new estate, preferably 1) Next to the path from Brockwood Park to the Kids Play Area. 2) Next to the alleyway between Brockwood Crescent and Badger Rise

Too much Mess, 23rd April

Wed, 23 Apr 2008 10:04:29 +0100

There are not enough bins provided to encourage people to pick up after their dogs. You can barly walk up Fintray Brae without coming across dogs dirt - I see lots of people not picking up after their dogs and in a large family area I think it's disgusting that nothing seems to be done about it
