Trench across Charleston Junction southbound slip road, 15th October

Sat, 15 Oct 2016 12:37:40 +0100

Subsiding previous repair covering a utility trench running across the slip road, on a bend where vehicles are gaining speed to enter the A90. Causes momentary loss of control in smaller wheeled vehicles due to the speed and cornering forces carried through the defect. May be of significant danger to motorbikes. The only way to avoid the defect is to swerve towards the kerb where the surfacing is less affected by subsidence, bringing vehicles close to AWPR construction staff. Defect has existed for at least a month, may have been created by AWPR utilities being installed.

Dangerous Car Parking: Morningside Gardens, 10th December

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 12:32:07 +0000

Due to recent Traffic Management policy changes in the area there has been a sudden increase in the number of people parking their cars on the 'blind' bends at the bottom of Morningside Gardens (and the end of Morningside Road). I have had numerous head-on incidents with oncoming traffic forced onto the 'wrong' side of the road by cars parked on the bend, resulting in emergency braking by me or both of us (usually followed by one of both of us reversing to allow the other to pass) These near things could be avoided if parking restrictions were extended to include these bends. As these roads are used as 'rat runs' by many drivers to avoid the delay of the lights at the Anderson Drive/Great Western Road junction these incidents happen very frequently and often with large commercial van and trucks. Thanks & regards Mr Jack Donaldson No 30 Morningside Gardens

Potholes at roundabout, 9th June

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 09:18:08 +0100

Very nasty pothole that always catches cars out or causes others to veer out of lane when heading from A90 towards Aberdeen City Centre. Roundabout area requires resurface as car tyres have worn away at this over the years, narrow car tyres always seem to find the ruts here so very dangerous.
